O2 announces laptops with built-in mobile broadband

O2 today announced two new laptops to be available exclusively on O2.

The laptops are the Asus UL30A and Samsung N150 netbook.  Both come with integrated 3G mobile broadband connectivity.  The Samsung netbook will cost £25 per month and includes 3GB of data usage plus 500MB of Wi-Fi. It has a one-off fee of £29.99 and will be available on a 24-month contract from 30th April.  It has a 10.1 inch screen, a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM.

The Asus UL30A has a slim design and a good battery life.   It has a Intel dual-core (Core 2 Duo SU7300 / 1300 MHz) processor and a 500GB hard drive. It will cost £30 per month with 3G of data usage and 750MB of Wi-Fi. It has a one-off fee of £79.99 and will be available from May, again with a 24 month contract.

Both mobile broadband plus laptop deals come with 300 texts and also have a 2 year warranty.  Another useful feature is 30 days “O2 Techies support”.

“Now we have our O2 Techies if customers have problems getting started they can contact a technical specialist who can talk them through the start up process for no extra cost,” says Felix Geyr, Head of Home and Broadband at O2.

“We know that customers want to be able to click and go without the hassle of having to load up a mobile broadband dongle and our new range will make surfing the web and staying touch even easier,” added Geyr.
