The ISPA award winners 2009
Manoj Solanki, Wednesday July 15, 2009 - 11:45 AMWinners at the annual Internet Industry awards include O2 and Vodafone.
The ISPA awards took place last week at a black tie event held at the London Marriott Hotel on Grosvenor Square. This year boasted the highest ever number of applicants since the awards began 7 years ago.
O2 did well, securing two awards, one for best consumer customer service and best consumer fixed broadband. For the customer service award, judges applauded O2’s efforts to ensure customers are aware of the line speed available to them. Low levels of customer complaints, coupled with it’s commitment to user security helped it secure the gong for best consumer fixed broadband. The judges also felt they offer a good range of value for money packages.
Best business broadband service went to longstanding ISP Claranet, through its efforts to use re-commissioned hardware to offer affordable services to small businesses.
Vodafone secured the gong for best consumer mobile broadband. A favourite for consumers and bussinesses alike, judges liked the range of packages, coverage and international roaming services available.
