Orange offers Asus laptop with built-in mobile broadband
Manoj Solanki, Wednesday November 12, 2008 - 8:45 AMOrange has upgraded its laptop and mobile broadband deal to offer the Eee PC 901 for £25 per month.
This mini laptop also includes mobile broadband built-in to the laptop, meaning there is no need to plug in a mobile broadband dongle to get online.
The maximum speed available with the laptop’s (HSDPA) mobile broadband capability is 3.6Mbps, however Orange currently offers headline speeds of 1.8Mbps on their 3G network.
The laptop comes with an 8.9 inch screen, Windows XP, WiFi connectivity, an average of 5 hours battery life and a two year warranty. It will be available in black or pink. The main improvement over the original Eee 900 that was offered by Orange is the increased battery life. It also comes with an Intel Atom based CPU and has low power consumption.
As with the previous offer the bundle has a 24 month contract. Orange’s “Internet Everywhere” mobile broadband service includes a decent 3GB of usage and 100 free texts from the laptop.
