Virgin Media to offer 20Mb broadband by June 2007

Manoj Solanki, Thursday March 1, 2007 - 5:06 PM

Virgin Media will be increasing the speed of its 10Mb package to 20Mb from June 2007.

In its latest quarterly statement, Virgin Media state that speeds will increase from a current maximum of 10Mb to 20Mb by June 2007, noting that trials are being conducted for a 50Mb broadband service.

Virgin Media’s optical fibre network (often known as FTTH – Fibre To The Home) has the potential to reach higher speeds than are currently available for broadband in the UK.

Further news on the service will be posted once available.
