Digital Britain report to be delayed

Manoj Solanki, Monday June 15, 2009 - 11:06 AM

The Government has issued a press release stating the the Digital Britain report will be published later than expected.

Lord Carter’s Digital Britain report, which is due to give details of providing broadband access to all of the UK, was originally due for publication on Tuesday 16 June. However, Lord Carter will be presenting it tomorrow to Cabinet first.

A Government press release states: “Lord Carter will present his report to Cabinet on Tuesday before it is published later next week.”

Lord Carter is due to step down later this year. Although no date has been confirmed, or whether his position will be replaced at all, the Government says he will leave at summer recess.
