Some Biscit customers transferred to Breathe while network assets are sold off

Manoj Solanki, Tuesday March 20, 2007 - 8:38 PM

Breathe networks has announced it will take about 1400 customers from a particular Biscit supplier.

Breathe Networks Limited says that it was approached by a supplier to Biscit/V21 called EurISP Limited and have agreed take over the provision of services to these customers.

It also appears that the Biscit administrators have sold on some Biscit assets. A message on the Biscit website states that rights to the Biscit domain names and web hosting now belong to O-bit Telecom Limited.

However, it also says that the administrators have not actually sold the existing customer contracts to O-BIT and “makes no representations whatsoever in respect of any the services provided by O-BIT. Customers entering into new arrangements with O-BIT do so at their own risk.”

ISPReview has noted an email that has been sent by O-bit Telecom to customers to entice them to sign up with O-bit Telecom as they have access to the customer database. However, as stated, customers do not have to sign-up with them.

The current situation still leaves several thousand customers waiting to transfer to another broadband provider. The best hope at the moment is to call BT Wholesale on 0800 169 9576 to try and obtain a MAC (Migration Authorisation Code).
