Manoj Solanki, Wednesday April 8, 2009 - 3:42 PMThe quad-play provider has unveiled a range of free additions to their cable and non-cable broadband services.
The so-called “V Stuff” service provides from 5GB of backup/storage space, depending on the broadband package. Top of the range XXL (50Mbps) customers get unlimited storage. Other services included for free include auto-backup with remote access, photo album creation and sharing.
Free photo printing is available for a year through a monthly allowance, again dependant on the broadband package, starting from 25 prints going up to 100 prints. This includes free postage and packing for the first three deliveries.
Virgin Media’s competitors also offer similar services. BT for example has been including online storage through its Digital Vault service for a while. It does however charge for the auto back-up service. In a comparison of V Stuff to similar services from BT, Sky and TalkTalk, Virgin Media was the only provider offering a free auto back-up service.
The V Stuff extras are accessible through Virgin Media’s revamped my.virginmedia.com customer zone where users can also manage ebilling and support.
