Talk Talk scraps charge for wireless router

Manoj Solanki, Tuesday September 2, 2008 - 8:12 AM

Talk Talk has scrapped the £30 charge for a wireless router when buying one of their free broadband and phone bundles.

The wireless router is currently a Huawei Echolife Wireless HG520 router, which TalkTalk recommend for use with their broadband service.

Talk Talk’s introductory offer on two of its broadband and phone bundles are also still active at the moment. The Talk Global Evening & Weekend bundle is £13.75 per month for the first first three months, £16.99 thereafter, while Talk Global Anytime is £15.75 per month for the first first three months, £20.99 thereafter.  The discount applies to the call packages.

Talk Talk also now have a new members forum website.  Although it is still in beta, it has some useful support information about broadband, landlines and email amongst other things.

Incidently, for anybody who already uses this router and has had downloading / streaming issues, typically when using applications such as the iPlayer, 4OD and Sky Player, will be interested to know that TalkTalk have issued a fix for it.  New users need not worry as this fix should be shipped out with all new TalkTalk routers.
