O2 offering free mobile broadband for 90 days

Broadband giant O2 has revitalised its price list over the past few days with some eye-catching new deals.

One of the most attractive offers is the new Light Mobile Broadband package which offers consumers free mobile broadband for 90 days (3 months) as part of an 18 month contract costing £150 over the term of the contract or £8.33 a month. The deal is enhanced further by the inclusion of unlimited WiFi, a free modem ( Huawei E169) worth £20 plus the additional offer of home broadband for an extra £5 per month.  

There aren’t really any catches but heavier users may want to consider the 3 GB package for £15 a month with the same extras rather than the 1 GB version.For consumers put off by the length of the contract there is the option of purchasing on a rolling 30-day basis instead where the USB dongle costs £20.

O2 Home broadband with £50 credit

Another deal which has been generating a lot of publicity is the offer of a free £50 credit to customers purchasing one of O2’s home broadband packages.  Signing up for either the Premium or Pro packages will get new subscribers up to £50 off their mobile bill.  The offer is available to O2 mobile and mobile broadband customers.

The O2 Home Premium package retails at £10 a month for O2 customers and offers download speeds up to 20Mb, a wireless router and the popular McAfee security software while the Pro package which costs slightly more at £17.50 a month for O2 customers, includes an enhanced router, 500 free texts a month and a dedicated customer service number.

Sim-only deals for existing iPhone customers

There is also good news for iPhone customers with a range of new sim-only deals aimed at customers who want to keep their current smartphone but would like a cheaper contract. The price-range starts at £15 a month for a year’s contract which gives customers unlimited texts, data and WiFi plus 300 minutes.

O2 is continuing to expand its portfolio with a new home phone package including multiple broadband deal options set to become available later this month.
