Free WiFi kit for new Madasafish broadband customers

Manoj Solanki, Friday June 15, 2007 - 8:33 AM

Madasafish are offering new broadband sign-ups a free wireless connectivity kit.

The wireless kit is provided by D-Link and includes a free wireless router (model DSL-G624T) plus a USB wireless adapter (DWL-G122 ) to enable connecting up a PC or MAC to the wireless network.  The router also support ADSL2/2+ technologies, which may be useful if you upgrade to an ADSL2+ broadband service.  As BT will be upgrading it’s current network and providing ADSL2 services, it’s future proof for this.

One microfilter is also included.  However, if you have more than one phone socket in the house, you’ll need to buy extra filters, but these are available from their website.  There is also a charge for P&P at £7.99.

“Wireless has really exploded recently. People want to check email in bed on their laptops and make calls from wireless VoIP phones while they’re in the garden – it’s completely changed our relationship with computers in the home. Ambient technology that offers this level of freedom should work straight out of the box, but the idea of setting up a home Wi-Fi network still terrifies most people.

“This is why we have introduced a kit that supplies all you need to get started, regardless of whether you’re a Mac or a PC user. Of course if anyone does need help, our support staff are there to help them get on line quickly and easily” – Matthew Henton, Head of Marketing, Madasafish
