Post Office to sell broadband

Manoj Solanki, Thursday May 17, 2007 - 6:40 PM

The Post Office and BT announced a partnership for BT to provide wholesale communications services to the Post Office to sell onto its customers.

BT recently launched white label managed services will provide the Post Office with broadband, telephone and other services as a reseller to its customers.  Its existing 400,000 telephone customers   will also be migrated over to the new service.

Through the white label service, BT will also provide on-line and telephone based customer service and support.

Alan Cook, Managing Director of the Post Office commented:

“The Post Office wanted a partner that could help us provide one of the best and most customer-focused voice and broadband services in the telecoms market at leading edge prices – and with BT, we’re very confident we’ve got the best strategic relationship to provide our customers with a trusted and reliable service at leading edge prices.”

Presumably the Post Office will use its network of  premises to help market the new communications services.
