BT 40Mbps broadband to cost from £19.99 per month
Manoj Solanki, Friday January 22, 2010 - 11:20 AMBT revealed the prices of its new fibre-based broadband service called “BT Infinity”.
Although there is limited availability at the moment, BT hopes to make it available to around 4 million premises by the end of the year. BT’s fibre-based broadband network will eventually become available to around 40% of UK premises. The company hopes to complete rollout by summer 2012, in time for the Olympics.
Prices start from £19.99 per month for up to 40Mbps download and 2Mbps upload with a 20GB usage limit. For £24.99 you get an increased upload speed of 10Mbps and unlimited usage.
It appears that customers also have to take out line rental with BT for the same period to get these prices. BT line rental costs £11.54 per month, although some customers will be with BT anyway.
The service launches on 25th January and will be available to those in an eligible area. Find out more about BT Total Broadband and BT Infinity at the BT website.
